NEW Way to RELINK OFFLINE MEDIA in DaVinci Resolve 20 - Alli shows you how to Relink Offline Media in DaVinci Resolve 20 and it's different than in previous versions of Resolve!
I'm going to show you how to relink offline media fast in DaVinci Resolve 20, and it's different than in the previous versions of Resolve. So let's check it out.
Have you ever opened up one of your Resolve projects and seen this media offline? Well, maybe you moved your footage or your other media asset to a different location on your computer or a hard drive. Either way, it's very easy to relink.
So just to show you, here in my audio folder, all of these files in red are offline. In my timeline, this is all red here too. You can right-click, choose "Find in Media Pool," and there we go. That particular offline file is highlighted right here.
So in previous versions of Resolve, you could just right-click, and it would say somewhere here, "Relink Offline Media." Now you can't do that. So here's what you need to do instead.
I'm just going to select all of these offline audio files, right-click, and you’ve got to go to "Clip Operations," which gives you a few different options here. Choose "Relink Selected Clips," find the folder that you have that media saved in, choose "Open," and there you go. All of these audio files are relinked.
So although DaVinci Resolve's made it a little bit different, it is still pretty easy to relink offline media.
